Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group raises $40 Mn led by Norwest, Skegen Asset Management

Precision manufacturing and deeptech company Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group (RVAG) has raised $40 million (around Rs 400 crore) in Series B funding round co-led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management. The round also saw participation from Indus Bridge Ventures, GJNX Ventures, and Ashish Kacholia. According to the company's press release, the fresh capital will be used to expand manufacturing capacity across its facilities in India, the UK, and the US, accelerate the development of its upcoming integrated manufacturing facility, and strengthen its Mission Systems, Deep Tech, and Autonomous Systems businesses. Founded by Vamsi Vikas, Hyderabad based RVAG manufactures precision engineered aerospace and defence components and operates more than 10 facilities across India, the UK, and the US. The company supplies components and sub assemblies to global aerospace OEMs, including GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, Safran, and Collins Aerospace. It also serves energy companies such as Baker Hughes, Halliburton, SLB, and GE. The company said it currently has an order book exceeding Rs 2,500 crore. RVAG provides end to end aerospace manufacturing capabilities spanning design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and assembly. Its capabilities include CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, composites, electronics, gears, fasteners, and NADCAP approved special processes. Beyond contract manufacturing, the company has expanded into mission systems and deeptech. It develops micro turbojet engines, aircraft hydraulic pumps, missile subsystems, and autonomous platforms, including IC and jet powered drones and unmanned ground vehicles for the Indian armed forces. RVAG has also partnered with institutions such as the IITs and IIITs, along with research organisations including ARCI and defence agencies such as ADA and DRDO.
