Oppex AI, an AI-native platform for production operations, has raised Rs 4.2 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Info Edge Ventures. The fresh funds will be utilised to accelerate product development, expand the team, and scale deployments with customers, Oppex AI said in a press release. Launched in June last year by Prasun Kumar and Pranit Kumar, Oppex AI builds an AI-native platform for production operations, with the aim of transforming incident management from human-led to AI-led. Its agentic platform brings together context from observability, customer support, cloud infrastructure, internal runbooks, and other enterprise systems to understand production incidents and automate incident response. Oppex AI addresses the growing production bottleneck by building an AI-powered system designed specifically for production operations. The startup aims to automate and streamline the detection, investigation, and resolution of production incidents, helping engineering teams spend less time firefighting and more time building products. By creating an AI layer for production, the company seeks to ensure that faster software development does not come at the cost of reliability, customer experience, or trust. This would enable organisations to fully realise the benefits of AI-driven software development. The Bengaluru-based startup said its platform is being adopted by enterprise customers across India, the UK, the EU, and the US. It plans to strengthen its agentic platform and expand its capabilities as it works towards making AI-led production operations a reality for enterprise technology teams. As AI accelerates software development and increases deployment velocity, production environments are becoming more complex. This is creating demand for agentic systems that can unify signals from logs, metrics, infrastructure, applications, and internal knowledge bases to identify root causes and recommend or execute remediation.
