Elevate Education raises Rs 170 Cr in Series D round from WestBridge Capital

Elevate Education, formerly known as Sunstone, has secured Rs 170 crore ($17.7 million) in Series D funding from WestBridge Capital. Back in August 2022, Elevate hadraised$35 million in a series C funding round led by WestBridge Capital with participation from existing investor Alteria Capital The Gurugram-based higher education platform will use the funds to strengthen its technology and AI capabilities, expand its partner institution network, improve student outcomes, and invest in academic programmes aligned with industry requirements. Founded by Ashish Munjal, Ankur Jain and Piyush Nangru, Elevate Education partners with colleges and universities to offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes supported by technology, placement assistance and student success services. The company currently supports more than 25,000 active students and works with 22 campuses across 15 cities. It expects to achieve revenue of Rs 300 crore in FY27 and reach profitability during the year. Looking ahead, Elevate Education plans to expand its student base to 60,000 and increase its network to 40 partner institutions by FY29. The company is also investing in AI-driven solutions across the student lifecycle, including learning, career support and engagement. With the latest funding, Elevate Education aims to strengthen its presence in the higher education ecosystem and expand access to industry-focused learning programmes across India.
