slice reports Rs 51 Cr profit in Q1 FY27; income jumps 38.6%

After achieving a full year profitability in FY26, digital banking platform slice has started FY27 on a strong note with a net profit of Rs 50.9 crore in Q1 FY27. The bank posted a net profit ofRs 48.4 crorefor the full FY26, against a loss of Rs 217 crore in FY25. slice’s total income rose 38.6% year-on-year to Rs 413.8 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 298.6 crore in the same quarter last year. On a sequential basis, income rose 3.5% from Rs 399.7 crore in Q4 FY26. In Q1 FY27, slice’s total income grew 38.6% year-on-year to Rs 413.8 crore from Rs 298.6 crore in the year-ago quarter. On a sequential basis, income increased 3.5% from Rs 399.7 crore in Q4 FY26. The bank’s profit before tax stood at Rs 49.1 crore during the last quarter, against a loss of Rs 10.1 crore in Q1 FY26. Its Q1 profit also surpassed the Rs 48.4 crore net profit recorded for the entire FY26. Meanwhile, slice’s gross loan book grew 55% year-on-year to Rs 5,098 crore as of June 2026, from Rs 3,284 crore a year earlier. Deposits nearly doubled to Rs 5,765 crore from Rs 3,038 crore during the same period. Asset quality also improved, with gross NPA declining to 4.36% from 6.31% in June 2025, while net NPA fell to 3.24% from 4.66%. The bank’s net worth stood at Rs 896 crore, while its capital adequacy ratio was 18.2%. Following its merger with North East Small Finance Bank, slice operates as a full-stack bank offering savings accounts, fixed deposits, UPI, credit products and other banking services. The company recently opened its UPI-powered bank branch in Bengaluru and made itsUPI credit cardavailable to all users after a phased rollout. The Bengaluru-based company has raised nearly $400 million in funding, including a$220 millionSeries B round led by Tiger Global and Insight Partners.
