Quick commerce platform BazaarNow has raised Rs 72 crore ($7.8 million) in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Whiteboard Capital and Antler, along with angel investors including Vidit Aatrey, Karthik Gurumurthy, Prashant Sachan, Arjun Purkayastha, Nitin Saluja, Siddharth Gadia, Ayyappan R, and Aravind Charanyan. The company has raised Rs 80 crore to date, including its pre-seed round. Entrackr hadexclusively reportedthis development last month. Launched in January this year by Priyanshu Jain, Arjun Harish, and Tarithnay Mandal, BazaarNow is a quick commerce platform focused on bringing everyday groceries, fruits and vegetables, daily essentials, local brands, and regional assortments to middle-class households across tier II and tier III India. The Bengaluru-based startup combines a vernacular-first app experience, AI-powered local-language search, assisted shopping, and an in-house logistics stack designed for the operating realities of smaller Indian markets. The platform focuses on local assortments, regional brands, fresh fruits and vegetables, simple ordering, and transparent pricing. According to BazaarNow, its product is designed to reduce friction in grocery purchases, with no complex discount structures, coupons, or wallets. It also offers assisted shopping, including call-to-order support, for users who prefer a more familiar buying experience. The company is also building its supply chain around faster inventory turnover, particularly across fruits and vegetables, to improve freshness and reliability in regional markets. In its first pilot city, BazaarNow claims it has scaled to more than 1,800 orders per day per store, validating demand for localized assortments, repeat grocery-buying behaviour, and efficient fulfilment in smaller city clusters. Over the next 6 to 12 months, the company plans to expand into surrounding towns and nearby density clusters, deepen its assortment across groceries and daily essentials, strengthen its supply chain, and continue improving its local-language and habit-led product experience.
