bigbasket, the Tata Group-owned quick commerce platform, has appointed Amit Nanda as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding long-time CEO Hari Menon. Nanda brings over two decades of experience across e-commerce, consumer goods, and consumer banking. He joins bigbasket from Amazon India, where he served as Director, Selling Partner Services, overseeing India's third-party marketplace ecosystem. Prior to this role, he was involved in building and scaling the company's owned brands portfolio across categories. During his 11-year tenure at Amazon, Nanda held several leadership positions spanning marketplace operations, product management, technology, and private brands. He has also held leadership roles at Hindustan Unilever and Citibank, bringing experience in consumer businesses, brand management, and digital commerce. As CEO, Nanda will lead bigbasket's next phase of growth, with a focus on strengthening its position in quick commerce and driving innovation across its businesses.
