Exclusive: PhysicsWallah founders, Udaan’s Sujeet Kumar to back Furnishka’s fresh fundraise

Furniture startup Furnishka is raising Rs 26.8 crore in an extended pre-Series A round, with PhysicsWallah founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Boob, and Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar among the investors, according to regulatory filings accessed by Entrackr. The Bengaluru-based company has issued 3,183 preference shares at an issue price of Rs 84,157 per share to raise the capital. The round saw participation from Beenext Asia, Bhaarath Sang, Onyx InVen, Amit Jain, Shantanu Jain, Manish Dugar, Mohit Gupta and Jnabiz Consulting, Bhaarath Sang will the largest investor in the round, investing Rs 10.3 crore. Beenext Asia will invest Rs 3.35 crore, while Onyx InVen and Amit Jain invest Rs 2.37 crore each. Mohit Gupta and Jnabiz Consulting are investing around Rs 2 crore each, while Sujeet Kumar will invest around Rs 1 crore. Alakh Pandey and Prateek Boob will invest Rs 1.14 crore each. Shantanu Jain and Manish Dugar will invest Rs 94.3 lakh and Rs 15.1 lakh, respectively. This seems to be part of a larger round. Most of the money mentioned above has hit the bank account, while some will follow soon. Based on the issue price and the company's share capital,Entrackrestimates Furnishka’s post-money valuation at around Rs 230 crore. With this round, Furnishka has raised Rs 70 crore so far. The company had earlier raisedRs 27 crorein a pre-Series A round led by IndiaQuotient in October 2024. Sparrow Capital and angel investors, including Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar and Ramakant Sharma, also participated in that round. Founded in 2023 by Ganesh Pawar, Furnishka operates an omnichannel furniture retail business, combining online sales with large-format offline stores. The company offers furniture across living room, dining room, and bedroom categories, with a focus on customisation and supply-chain efficiencies. Bareback Media has recently raised funding from a group of investors.
