Groww remains on top as Sahi enters top 20 stock brokers in June

The active client base of India’s top stock brokers declined further in June, with the industry shedding around 1.37 lakh clients month-on-month. Total active clients fell to 4.54 crore from4.55 crorein May. Groww continued to dominate the rankings, while Sahi, led by former Swiggy CTODale Vaz,entered the top 20 brokers after recording the largest net client gain during the month. According to NSE data, Groww remained the country's largest stock broker despite losing 6,004 active clients in June. It ended the month with 1.30 crore active clients with a 28.72% market share. Zerodha retained the second position with 68.01 lakh active clients and a 14.96% market share, despite a decline of 45,971 clients during the month. Angel One followed with 66.34 lakh active clients and a 14.59% market share. It posted the steepest decline among the top three, with 50,390 clients leaving the platform. ICICI Securities remained the fourth-largest broker with 21.21 lakh active clients and a 4.67% market share. It was among the few brokers that posted net additions during the month, with 15,781 new active clients. Upstox held the fifth spot with 18.87 lakh active clients and 4.15% market share, despite losing 36,417 clients in June. Kotak Securities and HDFC Securities followed with 13.80 lakh and 13.44 lakh active clients, commanding 3.04% and 2.96% market share, respectively. Among the top 10 brokers, Dhan continued to outperform its peers, adding 11,307 active clients to take its total to 10.73 lakh, with a 2.36% market share. Motilal Oswal also added 5,564 active clients, closing June with 8.99 lakh active clients and a 1.98% market share. Paytm Money, INDmoney and Sharekhan occupied the next three positions with 8.26 lakh, 6.99 lakh and 5.25 lakh active clients, respectively. While Paytm Money lost 19,881 clients, INDmoney added 6,128 during the month. Sahi (Aaritya Broking Ltd) entered the top 20 brokers for the first time after adding 27,742 active clients, the highest monthly addition among all brokers. It ended June with 2.01 lakh active clients, a 0.44% market share, and the 20th position in the rankings. Bareback Media has recently raised funding from a group of investors.
