Blackbuck crosses Rs 200 Cr revenue in Q1 FY27; profit rises 24%

Online trucking platform BlackBuck has released its financial results for the first quarter of FY27 today. The Bengaluru-based company reported a 42% year-on-year growth in its operating scale during the quarter, while its profit increased 24% to Rs 42 crore. Blackbuck's revenue from operations grew to Rs 204 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 144 crore in Q1 FY26, its financial statements sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) show. Revenue from truck operator services remained BlackBuck's primary source of income, contributing 98.5% of its operating revenue of Rs 201 crore in Q1 FY27. Its lending business added Rs 3.2 crore during the quarter. The company also earned Rs 16 crore from interest income, taking its total revenue to Rs 220 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 160 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. On a quarterly basis, Blackbuck’s operating revenue increased over 10% compared toRs 185 crorein Q4 FY26. Employee benefit expenses accounted for over 24% of BlackBuck's total expenditure and increased 16% year-on-year to Rs 43 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 37 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Depreciation and other operating expenses pushed BlackBuck's total expenditure to Rs 178 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 114 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. BlackBuck reported a 24% year-on-year growth in profit to Rs 42 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 34 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. On a sequential basis, however, the company's profit declined 36% from Rs 66 crore in Q4 FY26. As of 2:35 PM (today), Blackbuck’s share trading at around Rs 530, with a total market capitalization of Rs 9,679 crore ($1.02 billion).
