Five funding rounds closed on 11 August 2026, spanning deep tech, medtech, logistics and AI-for-BFSI, with Lightspeed India and Inflexor Ventures among the day's lead investors. The headline raise is Discovered Materials' $9 million (~₹75 crore) seed round for AI-driven semiconductor materials. Away from funding, managed workspace provider Table Space filed its DRHP with SEBI for an IPO of up to ₹800 crore in fresh issue proceeds, while Maharashtra's FDA suspended a Blinkit dark store licence in Mumbai after inspectors found cockroaches in fruit and vegetable storage areas. Discovered Materials is an AI-driven deep-tech startup tackling thermal dissipation in AI chips, which can generate heat exceeding 140W/cm². Founded by Advaith Sridhar and Akash Ramdas, the company develops thermally conductive dielectric materials for 3D chip packaging using cloud-based autonomous AI agents. The startup raised $9 million (~₹75 crore) in a seed round led by Lightspeed India Partners, with participation from Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners and angel investors including Paul Graham, Gokul Rajaram and Thariq Shihipar. Proceeds will fund team and laboratory expansion and the scaling of its AI research agents. The company plans to patent promising material candidates and licence resulting thermal-management technologies to global chipmakers. Ayati Devices is a Bengaluru-based medtech startup founded in 2019 by Nishant Kathpal and incubated at IIT Bombay's SINE. It makes portable, point-of-care diagnostic devices for diabetic foot complications and peripheral vascular disease, including the Vibrasense, Vasosense and Angiocam products. Ayati Devices raised ₹15 crore(~$1.5 million) in a Pre-Series A round led by Inflexor Ventures. Ayati claims deployment across 30 countries, more than 10,000 devices placed and over one million screenings completed. The fresh capital will go towards commercialisation, domestic and international market expansion, manufacturing capacity and AI research investment. FreightFox is a Pune-based AI-powered Transportation Management System and control tower platform founded in 2020 by Nitish Rai, Sandeep Mukhopadhyay, Vikas Singh and Dhananjaya Shetty. It serves large manufacturing enterprises including AB InBev, Bridgestone, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. The startup raised ₹5 crore in a Pre-Series A round led by HighLeaf, with participation from Vijender Yadav, Puru Gupta and Aeravti Ventures. This follows a ₹2 crore angel round in 2020 and a ₹4.5 crore seed round in 2023. Funds will be deployed to expand enterprise sales and distribution channels and enter international markets. The platform has managed over six million trips and facilitated more than $2 billion in freight procurement to date. Vecton AI is a Bengaluru-based startup founded last year by Himanshu Goyal and Gaurav Mandlecha. It builds production-ready, compliant AI and autonomous agent systems for mid-market and enterprise BFSI customers, helping them move AI projects from proof-of-con
