India's electric two-wheeler market continued its upward trajectory in June, with registrations climbing 12.2% month-on-month to 1.93 lakh units. TVS Motor strengthened its lead over Bajaj Auto, while Hero MotoCorp recorded the fastest growth among the top five manufacturers. Ola Electric, meanwhile, continued to trail its larger rivals despite reporting a modest increase in registrations. According to Vahan data, TVS Motor retained the top spot with 46,999 registrations, with a 24.29% market share. The company sold 4,034 more units than in May and posted 9.4% month-on-month growth. Bajaj Auto continued to narrow the gap with the leader and sold 43,234 units to capture 22.34% market share. The company added 3,727 units during the month, also posting 9.4% growth over May. Ather Energy held on to the third position with 31,188 registrations and 16.12% market share, as its sales increased 9.4% from 28,512 units in May. Hero MotoCorp remained fourth with 21,792 units and an 11.26% market share. Among the top five players, Hero posted the fastest month-on-month growth at 13.4%, with sales up by 2,578 units. Ola Electric continued to trail the top four despite a modest recovery. The company registered 16,144 units in June, up 6.1% from 15,218 units in May, taking its market share to 8.34%. Outside the top five, Greaves Electric Mobility emerged as one of the strongest performers, with registrations surging 41.9% month-on-month to 10,928 units, while River Mobility and BGauss recorded 16% and 18.7% growth, respectively. Among smaller manufacturers, E-Sprinto Green Energy posted the sharpest growth, nearly doubling its registrations to 1,878 units. The June growth also comes at a time when policy support for electric mobility is strengthening. Earlier this week, the Delhi government approved itsnew EV Policy, which will allow only electric two-wheelers to be newly registered in the national capital from April 2028. The policy also offers purchase incentives of up to Rs 30,000 for electric two-wheelers in its first year, a move that is expected to further accelerate EV adoption in one of the country's largest two-wheeler markets.
