KollegeApply, a startup focused on simplifying the student admission journey, has gained early traction in its first academic cycle. The company has claimed that it onboarded more than 600 institutions in the last fiscal year. The traction also helped the Gurugram-based company generate over Rs 15 crore in revenue and post profits in its first fiscal year ending March 2026, Sanjay Meena, Founder & CEO of KollegeApply, told Entrackr. The platform helps students, colleges, and universities simplify college discovery, applications, counselling, and enrollment. Through AI-led guidance, KollegeApply finds suitable colleges and courses for students. KollegeApply claims to have engaged with over 2 million users and benefited more than 7 lakh students. The platform has processed over 40,000 applications, facilitated 15,000 admissions, and seen more than 1 lakh students use its tools and services. According to Sanjay Meena, KollegeApply earns revenue through several streams, including student enquiries, applications, confirmed admissions, and branding solutions for colleges. Commenting on the firm’s growth and long-term vision, Meena said the firm wants to make college admissions simpler through AI-based guidance and personalised recommendations for students, while also helping colleges improve student engagement and increase enrollments at scale. To support its growth, the startup has built a team of around 150 people across sales, operations, technology, product, and content. “Our current focus remains on execution and efficiently managing both college partnerships and student demand,” added Meena. The recently published annual report by Merito places KollegeApply among the top three direct competitors in the higher education admissions segment within its first year of operations, highlighting the company’s strong early traction and execution capabilities. Initially launched as a student acquisition and enrolment support platform, KollegeApply is now moving towards becoming an AI-led admissions and student guidance platform and aims to improve conversion rates while helping students make more informed choices. As per Meena, the firm aims to expand to over 1,500 institutional partners in the next academic cycle while increasing its presence across India.
