Coffee equipment and services provider Kaapi Machines has secured an equity infusion of Rs 50 crore from Sedna HoReCa (Sedna), a private equity backed B2B HoReCa solutions provider, while also entering into a strategic partnership. The partnership is expected to expand Kaapi Machines' product portfolio, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, and enhance its technology stack, warehousing, and service infrastructure. The company also plans to explore select opportunities in adjacent product categories for its existing customer base by leveraging Sedna's capabilities. Led by Abhinav Mathur, Kaapi Machines serves coffee businesses and the broader farm to cup coffee ecosystem. Its clients include large café chains, QSRs, specialty coffee roasters, hotels, retailers, corporates, and coffee vending businesses across India. With coffee consumption continuing to grow in India, the company aims to support both existing and new HoReCa businesses through its product portfolio, training programs, R&D capabilities, and after sales support. Kaapi Machines supplies equipment including automatic and semi automatic espresso machines, commercial blenders, roasters, and grinders. It is the official distributor for brands such as La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, Rancilio, and Probat. The company also offers barista training, latte art courses, consulting for new cafés, technical maintenance and repair services, and operates the Something's Brewing e-commerce platform for home brewers.
