Lenskart has seen another large block deal, with financial services giants BNP Paribas Financial Markets and Societe Generale among investors offloading shares worth nearly Rs 2,700 crore on August 31, 2026. According to stock exchange data, BNP Paribas Financial Markets sold 1.29 crore Lenskart shares at Rs 662.22 per share, amounting to around Rs 855 crore. Societe Generale sold 1.41 crore shares at Rs 661.53 each, taking the deal value to about Rs 931 crore. The block-deal data also shows BlackRock Emerging Markets Fund selling 3.07 lakh shares for around Rs 2 crore, while Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) sold 1.35 crore shares worth nearly Rs 893 crore. In total, around 4.08 crore Lenskart shares changed hands for Rs 2,699.5 crore. The latest sell-off comes just days after another large transaction in Lenskart. On August 28, around 2.95 crore shares worth Rs 1,857 crore changed hands in a block deal, with Alpha Wave Ventures likely among the sellers. The shares were traded at Rs 630 each, while global and domestic institutions including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, ICICI Prudential and SBI Mutual Fund were among the buyers. This follows SoftBank's second major stake sale in Lenskart since June. The Japanese investment giant sold 4.5 crore shares for Rs 2,888 crore in August, after selling another Rs 2,873 crore worth of shares in June. Other early investors have also pared their holdings. ADIA sold around Rs 1,960 crore worth of shares in June, while Temasek offloaded around Rs 1,940 crore in July. Together with SoftBank's two transactions, these sales amounted to aroundRs 9,660 crorebetween June and August. Despite the investor exits, Lenskart continues to report strong growth. Its Q1 FY27 revenue rose 43% YoY toRs 2,714 crore, while profit stood at Rs 228 crore. Lenskart’s share is currently trading at Rs 659.25 (as of 12.48 PM), with a total market capitalization of Rs 1,14,585 crore ($12 billion).
