Meta Fashion, a Delhi-based digital fashion platform building what its founders describe as the "Zara for the Virtual World," has raised approximately $400,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Lumikai, India's interactive media, digital platforms, and games-focused venture capital fund. The round, announced on May 21, 2026, also saw participation from a clutch of prominent angel investors, including Big Bets — the family office of Anton Gauffin, founder of HUUUGE Games — Akshat Rathee, founder of Nodwin Gaming, and Pratham Mittal, founder of Masters' Union. The capital infusion will accelerate the company's expansion across user-generated content (UGC) platforms, fuel the growth of its original intellectual property game GlamGirls, and deepen its proprietary AI-native "fast fashion" engine designed for digital assets. Meta Fashion has, to date, sold over 2.5 million virtual fashion units on the Roblox marketplace, generating approximately $300,000 in gross merchandise value while operating at a 92% gross margin. Founded in 2022 by Arjun Goel, a 19-year-old entrepreneur who previously appeared on Shark Tank, Meta Fashion designs and develops digital fashion items for leading UGC and gaming platforms, including Roblox, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto, and ZEPETO. Goel is joined by his co-founder Sanjay Goel, a National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Delhi alumnus with over 20 years of industry experience spanning consumer tech, manufacturing, and exports. Sanjay has previously built two startups, one of which was acquired by PayTM. At the heart of Meta Fashion's platform sits a proprietary AI-native "fast fashion" engine for digital assets. The engine uses AI-powered styling and creation tooling to analyse live marketplace trends and demand signals, improving discovery, accelerating asset creation, and driving higher conversion across virtual marketplaces. Global retail giants such as Walmart have already partnered with the company to bring real-world products into the digital realm. The company has also created a consumer-facing direct-to-consumer (D2C) line for superfans, successfully converting virtual bestsellers into physical fashion goods — a phygital flywheel that the founders argue traditional fashion brands cannot easily replicate. Meta Fashion's original IP game, GlamGirls, launched in beta on Roblox in late 2025 and has attracted over 100,000 paying users with zero marketing spend, with a 75% female user base and 50% of users above the age of 18. The freshly raised capital will be deployed to scale Meta Fashion's virtual fashion business, grow GlamGirls into a flagship IP property, and expand the company's footprint across multiple UGC platforms. UGC ecosystems such as Roblox, Fortnite, and ZEPETO are rapidly emerging as new homes for entertainment and IP creation, particularly among Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers who have grown up immersed in multiplayer, creator-led worlds. At current growth rates, the sector is projected to cross
