Rohan Kulkarni, the Hyderabad lawyer and entrepreneur who founded the Telugu digital news channel Kaizer News in 2024, has said he plans a civic-governance app that he will launch across Hyderabad. He has also said he is bringing digital AI governance, a phrase he has not defined in public, and that he plans AI education for people. Beyond the city and the phrase, no product details have been released. Kulkarni's own reporting has focused on dumping yards, challans, election machinery and police accountability in named localities such as Jawahar Nagar and Dammaiguda. During the Jubilee Hills bypoll period he ran "1 Day as a Leader", a challenge framed as a dare to govern for a single day; by the account on his own site, roads were addressed within two days and a dumping yard that had gone unaddressed for a long time was flagged. Whether an app can make that kind of follow-up routine rather than exceptional is the question the plan raises. Kulkarni has built products before. Sharkify Technology Private Limited, incorporated in Hyderabad in February 2024, offered 3,248 internships in 2024, each paired with a Rs 50,000 education voucher. Roku Taxi, a community taxi-hailing app for auto drivers, launched with free accidental insurance cover for more than 2,000 drivers. Vaksy, founded in 2026, describes itself as an AI-native legal platform for India that drafts notices in 12 Indian languages and routes them to BCI-empanelled advocates. Kaizer News itself was ranked third among Telangana's digital news channels by Telangana Today in January 2025, with 27.1 lakh subscribers. His record includes education work. The foundation that carries his name runs Bose Educator, which provides free schooling with smart classrooms and daily meals for about 120 children living near the Jawahar Nagar dumping yard, and it has run Project M startup training and the Revolution Youth Festival. Kulkarni has not said who the AI-education effort will target or how it will be delivered. Timelines, partners and the app's name have not been announced. What Kulkarni has stated publicly is the scope, Hyderabad, and the three plans themselves. Founder Stack will follow the launch as details are released. More on his work is at rohankulkarni.in.
